of its newest email archiving solution based on the Mimosa NearPoint™ dynamic
content archiving solution. The STORServer®
Email Archiving Appliance, powered by Mimosa NearPoint is a next generation
email archiving solution that addresses critical customer requirements of
archiving, eDiscovery, disaster recovery, regulatory compliance, business
continuity and storage optimization in a single, integrated solution.
The STORServer Email Archiving
Appliance provides legal
search workflow, immediate mailbox and message recovery, disaster recovery,
email, instant message and file archiving and self-service search and access in
a single Appliance-based solution. By leveraging cost-effective storage and
advanced classification rules, the new Appliance optimizes content storage and
reduces overall infrastructure costs.

The STORServer
Email Archiving Appliance supports systems ranging from 100 mailboxes to
tens of thousands in a single system. A hot-plug modular architecture allows
servers and storage to be added or removed as required to match performance
challenges, without breaking the logical consistency of the archive
information. Archive storage capacity grows on demand automatically, and
default configuration and wizard-driven menus simplify deployment and
management.

The new Appliance, powered by Mimosa NearPoint is an

Exchange and Outlook. Deployment is effortless as there is zero foot print on
the Exchange Servers or desktops. Administrators perform immediate restores and
configure policies using the standard Microsoft Management Console. Users and
auditors have the ability for instant search and access to email that has been
protected, archived and extended via a standard Microsoft Outlook or Outlook
Web Access user interface.
The Email Archiving Appliance joins STORServer’s industry
leading data protection appliances for backup, archive and disaster
recovery. The Appliance is delivered as
one or more virtual machines on a VMware ESX server platform and includes
best-in-class, certified, production ready hardware, software, services and
support for a fully featured, easy-to-use solution.
