Binary Research International and Big Bang release Universal Imaging Utility v.4.0

QStar upgrades its storage management software

QStar released an upgrade of QStar R5, which includes data management software products QStar HSM, Data Director, and Master. QStar R5 was developed to offer more data management features and support for new hardware configurations enabling customers to manage online pools of archive data through a seamless hybrid storage management structure with a mix of hard disk and near-line technologies in multiple storage archive formats.

AEG partners with Panasonic for video surveillance at sports and entertainment venues

Under a multi-tiered sponsorship agreement, Panasonic will be a ‘Founding Partner’ (one of eight) of L.A. LIVE, the AEG owned and operated sports, entertainment and residential district in downtown Los Angeles that includes Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE, Club Nokia, Nokia Plaza, The GRAMMY Museum, Regal Cinemas and The Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott Hotels. The agreement also names Panasonic as a ‘Founding Partner’ (one of ten) of STAPLES Center, also owned by AEG, beginning in August, 2009.

Alcatel-Lucent has selected NetLogic Microsystems’ NL71024XT device for Alcatel-Lucent’s Terabit IP Service Router portfolio.  The Terabit upgrades to the Alcatel-Lucent 7750 Service Router and 7450 Ethernet Service Switch to support the growing market for more personalized, broadband offerings such as IPTV, WebTV, Virtual Private Networks (VPN) and 3G/4G mobile services.
