Safend achieves government FIPS 140-2 security recertification

Safend, a provider of endpoint data protection solutions, announced Monday that it has obtained recertification for FIPS 140-2 (Federal Information Processing Standards) Validation by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States and by the Communications Security Establishment in Canada (CSEC). The recertification covers Safend versions 3.3 and 3.4, Windows 7 and XP, 32 and 64 bits.
