Splunk Inc., a vendor of software platform for real-time operational intelligence, and Hortonworks, a contributor to Apache Hadoop, announced Thursday an alliance to enable organizations to gain operational intelligence using open source Apache Hadoop. The alliance ensures that organizations can take advantage of Splunk Enterprise and Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) utilizing Splunk Hadoop Connect, which moves data between Splunk Enterprise and Hadoop.
