SANRAD To Supoort MS iSCSI Software Initiator 2.0

SANRAD Incorporated announced that its line of V-Switch storage products support the recently announced version 2.0 of the Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator. Microsoft's iSCSI Software Initiator allows companies to take advantage of existing network infrastructure in order to enable block-based storage over wide distances without having to invest in additional hardware. The most notable improvements with the second version include integration with Microsoft MPIO, support for all error recovery levels and support for Windows Server x64 Editions.

SANRAD had previously tested and qualified its products with the iSCSI Software Initiator as part of Microsoft’s Designed for Windows Logo Program, which helps ensure interoperability and quality assurance for Windows customers. By using Windows and an iSCSI V-Switch, users can consolidate servers and diverse storage systems in an easy-to-manage storage area network.

iSCSI V-Switches introduce all-in-one iSCSI storage networking for full availability and seamless management of stored information across standard Ethernet networks, affording a complete storage continuity solution, that is easy to deploy with excellent price/performance. SANRAD iSCSI V-Switches combine a truly interoperable, multiple-port iSCSI gateway with comprehensive storage services for full block based data access, network volume management, storage continuity and traffic optimization, delivering a new dimension in the availability of vital business information using iSCSI SANs.
