RAID Incorporated, an end-to-end customized solutions provider in HPC, Big Data, and virtualized environments, has announced its next-generation FusionRomley server solutions featuring the latest Intel Xeon E5-2600 processor, better known as Sandy Bridge-EP.
This latest FusionRomley line of dual-socket server solutions provides breakthrough performance over its Xeon 5600 chip predecessors and has an enhanced memory subsystem for boosted bandwidth and integrated I/O. These Xeon E5-2600 processor servers are offered in 1U, 2U, 3U, and 4U form factors.
Since 1994 RAID Inc. has provided complete customized solutions for the HPC marketplace. The company specializes in optimizing total system performance by enhancing computational resources, interconnects, and I/O subsystems with support model that assures the highest level of personalized service.
The servers have a new 8-core option and total bandwidth has been increased from previous generations with the inclusion of a fourth memory channel and support for 1600 MHz memory modules. With the addition of 32GB DIMM support, memory can reach 768GB. Unlike previous generations where I/O operations were managed by a different chip, the newly supported PCIe 3.0 chip functionality has been brought directly into the main processor. This I/O integration reduces latency and improves data throughput.
