Dec 3 -- Enigma Software Group Inc., a technology and services company that creates and develops Internet privacy protection and computer security software and applications for Internet users, announced last week that after extensive development and testing, it has released the latest version of its anti-spyware program, SpyHunter Security Suite 3.0.
Enigma's success depends upon its ability to anticipate changing customer requirements effectively and in a timely manner and to offer products and services that meet those demands, Enigma of Stamford, Connecticut said. The company has been developing and testing this new SpyHunter product since late last year, and Enigma has noted that the development of new or enhanced software products and services is a complex and uncertain process, the company added.
Enigma develops and markets digital products and services for the consumer market, the company said. Enigma is known its anti-spyware software product SpyHunter, which is distributed exclusively over the Internet by download. Enigma owns and operates several websites, including the Spyware reference sites, it said. Enigma Software operates within the United States with a worldwide customer base, the company added.
Enigma has added additional features to its SpyHunter product, it said. Firstly, the speed of the scanner engine has been significantly increased. In addition, a Process Guard and a Registry Guard, which are preventative features that stop spyware before it can execute, have been added, the company said. Also, to actively monitor a user's computer and prevent new spyware infections, a Domain Name Server (DNS) protection has been added in order to prevent companies from spoofing URLs to trick users, Enigma added.
Additional features, which are not noticeable to the user, but make the SpyHunter product more effective and have the ability to remove security threats at the WinLogon level, have also been added, Enigma said.
Enigma further noted that these are features that most of its competitors have had and Enigma did not have, the company said. Adding these features will now make Enigma's product more competitive, Enigma added.
